Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Resident Life OS ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Resident Life OS, operated by Dr. Ally Said.

2. Description of Service

Resident Life OS is a wellness and financial tracking application designed for medical residents. The App provides tools for logging wellness scores, tracking financial health, managing schedules, and optionally receiving AI-generated wellness feedback through the Dr. Mentor feature.

3. Not Medical Advice

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or burnout symptoms that affect your ability to practise safely, please seek immediate help from a qualified healthcare professional or contact your hospital's employee assistance programme.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. AI Features & Consent

The Dr. Mentor AI feedback feature is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent before activation. When enabled, your wellness data is processed by a third-party AI provider (currently Groq) to generate personalised feedback.

You understand and agree that: AI-generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate. AI feedback is not a substitute for professional medical advice. You may revoke AI consent at any time through the Wellness page settings. Revoking consent stops future AI processing but does not delete previously saved AI summaries from your records.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to enter data about patients or third parties. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App's systems or other users' data. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App. Use automated scripts or bots to access the App. Share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Resident Life OS. You retain ownership of all personal data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resident Life OS, its operator, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove all your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms with or without notice.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.
